Heirloom Dossiers are designed to help you explore and discover — they are not a substitute for verified academic or cultural research. We encourage you to independently verify any information that is important to your family’s decision.

We use Google Gemini as our primary AI provider, with OpenAI as a fallback. Neither provider uses your data to train their models when accessed through their APIs. For text-to-speech name previews, we use OpenAI’s voice synthesis.

No. HushName is an AI-powered naming consultant, not a professional advisory service. Our naming sessions do not create a professional-client relationship of any kind. The final naming decision is always yours.

Absolutely. Your family’s information is something we take very seriously. Everything is encrypted in transit and at rest, our database uses Row Level Security so only you can access your own records, and we never sell your data. We share it only with the services that run HushName, listed in our Privacy Policy. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.

Your questionnaire answers: style choices, cultural background, any notes you add, and any family names you choose to enter (parents’, a grandfather’s, older siblings’). Family names are optional and help us follow naming traditions. We never send your email address, the name on your account, your account ID or your payment details.

Yes. You can delete your account at any time from your Settings page. This permanently removes your profile, all sessions, generated names, swipe history, purchase history and partner linking data. Stripe keeps its own record of any payments, as tax law requires.
